- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Usage analytics, including pages visited, time on site, and navigation paths
- Cookies and tracking technologies as described in Section 4
- Feedback regarding completed leads, including contact confirmation and job status
- Confirmation of services booked or completed through our referral
We use the information we collect only for the purposes described in this policy. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Provide and improve our contractor matching Services
- Match you with verified Contractors appropriate for your project and location
- Send service-related communications, including match confirmations and follow-up messages
- Respond to enquiries submitted through our forms or contact channels

- Prevent fraud, misuse, or security incidents
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or significant effects on you, and we do not engage in profiling for purposes unrelated to the Services.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and deliver relevant content. The types of cookies we may use include:
- Functional Cookies — Essential to Site operation. These cannot be disabled without affecting Site functionality.
- Analytics Cookies — Help us understand how visitors interact with the Site, which pages are most visited, and where users drop off. Data is aggregated and not linked to individual identity.
- Advertising or Retargeting Cookies — May be used to show relevant advertisements on other platforms based on your visit to our Site. These are set by third-party advertising partners.
You may disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of the Site. Most browsers provide instructions for managing cookies in their help documentation.
We employ commercially reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
- Data transmitted through our forms is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols
- Access to personal data is restricted to personnel and service providers who require it to perform their functions
- We regularly review our data handling practices and update security measures as appropriate
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data and are not responsible for breaches that occur despite our reasonable precautions. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
We do not currently collect, store, transmit, or process biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14), including fingerprints, retina scans, facial geometry, voiceprints, or other biological identifiers.
If we ever introduce features that involve biometric data, we will — prior to any collection:
- Obtain written informed consent from each individual whose biometric data would be collected
- Disclose the specific purpose for collection and the length of time the data will be retained
- Implement technically appropriate security measures to store, transmit, and protect biometric data
- Establish and comply with a written retention schedule and destruction policy
- Fully comply with all requirements of BIPA and any successor legislation
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically, we retain data:
- For as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfil the purpose for which it was collected
- For the period required by applicable law, including tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
- For legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in a manner that renders it unrecoverable. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time as described in Section 11.
You may opt out of our marketing or promotional email communications at any time. We will always honour opt-out requests promptly — typically within 10 business days.
- Click the "Unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of any marketing email we send
- Email us directly to request removal from our marketing list
Note that even after opting out of marketing communications, you may still receive transactional or service-related messages — such as confirmation of a contractor match — where those messages are necessary to deliver the Services you requested.
If you are a resident of California or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws — including states with comprehensive consumer privacy acts — you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for commercial purposes.
As described in Section 3, sharing your information with Contractors for the purpose of obtaining service quotes may constitute "sharing" under certain state frameworks. You may submit an opt-out request at any time.
- We will process your request within 15 business days of receipt
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right
- Your request will be honoured for a minimum of 12 months before we may ask you to reauthorise sharing
If you receive SMS or text messages from us or from Contractors connected through our platform, you can opt out at any time.
- Reply "STOP" to any SMS message from us to immediately unsubscribe
- Reply "HELP" to any SMS message to receive support information
- Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan
- After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and then no further SMS from us
Note that opting out of SMS communications does not unsubscribe you from email communications, and vice versa. Each channel requires a separate opt-out.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information. Illinois residents and users in other applicable jurisdictions may request:
- Access — A copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Deletion — Deletion of your personal information, unless we are legally required to retain it
- Portability — A machine-readable copy of information you have provided to us
- Restriction — Restriction of certain processing activities where permitted by law
We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests, though we may charge for excessive or unfounded requests.
We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Your continued use of the Site after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy
- If you do not agree to the revised policy, you must stop using the Site and Services
- For material changes that affect how we use data you have already provided, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly
