• act as an agent, representative, or partner of any contractor listed or referred through this Site.

Any contractor relationships — including agreements, contracts, payments, and disputes — are solely between you and the contractor. We are not a party to those relationships.

The Site may connect users with independent third-party contractors ("Contractors"). You acknowledge and agree that:

• Contractors are independent businesses not under our control, direction, or supervision;
• we may receive compensation when Contractors purchase or receive leads through this platform;
• we make no warranties or guarantees regarding any Contractor or the outcome of any work;
• you are solely responsible for verifying licensing, insurance, permits, and pricing before engaging any Contractor;
• any dispute arising from work performed by a Contractor is between you and that Contractor.

The fact that a contractor appears in our network or has been referred through this platform does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty of any kind regarding that contractor's fitness, reliability, or quality of work.

Any "instant quote," "instant estimate," cost calculator result, or similar pricing tool on this Site is informational only and does not constitute a binding quote from us or from any Contractor.

Pricing estimates are generated using general market data for the Chicago metropolitan area and are intended to provide a reasonable range for planning purposes only. Actual costs will vary based on:

• the specific condition and measurements of your roof;
• material selection and availability at time of project;
• local permit requirements and inspection fees;
• contractor-specific labour rates and overhead;
• site access, complexity, and any unforeseen conditions discovered during inspection.

Final pricing is determined exclusively by the Contractor following an on-site assessment. We accept no responsibility for any discrepancy between an estimate displayed on this Site and a price quoted or charged by a Contractor.

By using this Site and submitting any form, request, or inquiry, you agree not to:

• provide false, misleading, or incomplete information in any submission;
• use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or competitive intelligence purposes;
• copy, scrape, harvest, or otherwise misuse Site content or data;
• interfere with the functionality, security, or availability of the Site;
• submit requests on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent;
• use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Site.

You represent that any information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to make decisions regarding the property identified in your request.

• any actions, omissions, or negligence of any Contractor referred through this platform;
• reliance on any estimate, tool output, or information published on the Site;
• any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data or submissions.

Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100), even if the limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Site owner, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and legal fees arising from:

• your use of the Site or Services;
• your interactions with any Contractor referred through this platform;
• your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
• any information you submit through the Site that is false, misleading, or incomplete;
• any dispute between you and a Contractor.

This indemnification obligation is intentionally broad and is intended to provide maximum protection for the Site owner against third-party claims arising from your use of the platform.

This platform operates primarily within Illinois and serves homeowners and contractors in the Chicago metropolitan area. The following Illinois-specific notices apply:

• Consumer Protection: Illinois residents may have additional consumer-protection rights under Illinois law. Nothing in these Terms waives any non-waivable statutory protections afforded to Illinois consumers.
• Biometric Data (BIPA): We do not currently collect biometric data. If we were ever to collect biometric identifiers or information, we would fully comply with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), 740 ILCS 14.
• Illinois Roofing Industry Act: Illinois law requires roofing contractors to hold a valid licence issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). We encourage all homeowners to verify contractor licence status at online-dfpr.micropact.com before work begins.
• Home Repair and Remodelling Act: Illinois homeowners entering into home repair contracts above a specified value have rights under the Illinois Home Repair and Remodelling Act, including the right to a written contract. We recommend homeowners familiarise themselves with these protections.
• Storm Chaser Protections: Illinois law provides certain protections against door-to-door contractor solicitation following storm events. Homeowners are encouraged to exercise caution and consult our Scam Risk Checker before signing any post-storm contractor agreement.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. You irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for this purpose.

You waive any objection to the laying of venue of any such dispute in Cook County and waive any claim that such dispute has been brought in an inconvenient forum.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes, but are not obligated to do so.

Your continued use of the Site or Services after any change to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Site.

When you submit a quote request, contractor inquiry, or any other form on this Site, you provide us with personal information including your name, address, phone number, email address, and details about your property and roofing project.

• share your contact and project details with one or two matched contractors so they can respond to your request;
• use your information to improve the Site and Services;
• contact you regarding your request or related services.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties unrelated to your request. We do not share your information with advertisers. Contractor partners receive your information only for the purpose of responding to your specific roofing request.

Chicago Roof & Repair Alliance conducts a multi-point verification process for contractors before they are accepted into our network. This process currently includes review of IDFPR licence status, insurance coverage, BBB standing, and Illinois business presence.

However, you acknowledge and agree that:

• verification is conducted at a point in time and does not guarantee a contractor's continued compliance after verification;
• verification does not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or guarantee of workmanship, conduct, or outcomes;
• a contractor's inclusion in our network does not mean we have direct knowledge of or responsibility for their work practices;
• licence and insurance status can lapse or change between our verification checks and the date of your project;
• you remain solely responsible for independently verifying a contractor's current status before signing any contract or making any payment.

Nothing on this Site constitutes professional legal, financial, structural, or roofing advice. All content is provided for general informational purposes only.

The Site is not a contractor, not a construction company, and not responsible for work performed by any third party. All estimates are informational only. You are solely responsible for:

• verifying the licensing, insurance, qualifications, warranties, and work quality of any Contractor;
• obtaining the appropriate permits for any roofing work on your property;
• ensuring that any work performed complies with applicable building codes and regulations;
• reviewing and understanding any contract before you sign it;
• making payment decisions and managing any financial arrangements with Contractors directly.
